Digital Storytelling:

In this project, I learned to use PhotoStory 3, a software used to create digital stories by incorporating photos, images, transitions and music.  This was the first time I have ever used this software and I was amazed at how easy it was to use to complete this assignment.  The hardest part was finding pictures that would tell my story for me without questions.  Once I had it all figured out, the ideas came to me in my sleep and I am very pleased with the outcome of the project and the message it conveyed.  My story is a about "Giving Thanks" to all who have crossed my path that has lead to where I am today.

Instructional Training Material:

For this course I learned about instructional design and how to implement an instructional model to develop effective instruction.  I designed an instructional training guide to help the campus teachers create their own classroom website.  The teachers will maintain personal data and upload important documents that students,parents, and other teachers can utilize to its fullest potential.  The final instructional material guide was evaluated by three groups of evaluators (SME, One-to-one, Group).  I used their feedback to help me produce the best instructional training material guide for the training.

Development of Online Learning Module: 

The project description for this course is to actually create the design to the instructional solution developed in EDTC6321.  Main objective is to identify a campus need and find a solution to it.  The need is for teachers to have a classroom website in order to be incompliance with the TTIPS Federal Grant to show collabaoration between teachers, students, parents and the community.  The solution is to create an on-line learning module to help teachers create their own classroom website. The project will include an interactive object, a design document file, a design rational, and evaluation report.

Project Description: To research an on-line collaborate networking tool as a group and presenting it in virtual format.   The group selected to research Second Life an online virtual world where each member had to learn the program, meet in virtual second life to discuss the project, provide research feedback and put together a 10 minute multimedia video to discuss the educational benefits in using this tool.   The group held weekly conferences in this virtual world through-out the semester and learned how to navigate, teleport, and finally present our finding using Second life avatars specifically created to suit each of the team members.

Project Description: I attended various conferences throughout the completion of my Master’s Program.  I continue to attend district professional development that provides continuous aid in my professional growth through the BISD district.  I also attended state or national conferences that I have also attended which have provided me with ideas on how to integrate technology into the classroom and throughout the district functions.

Project Description:  Students are expected to apply both skills and conceptual knowledge to diagnose and devise an instructional solution to an identified real life performance problem.  My campus was awarded a federal grant (TTIPS) that requires teachers to have their own classroom website as a form of outside communication between students, parents, other teachers and the community. My capstone project is to create an on-line step-by-step instructional unit to help campus teachers create their own website by using a free widget-based website creator called “Weebly”.  This instructional unit will be the first online e-learning training that will be made available to our campus teachers.
