My name is Blanca Estella Pena and I live in Brownsville, Texas. I have a daughter and son whom I hope to one day inspire by reaching my ultimate educational goal of completing my graduate studies and getting my Masters in Educational Technology. I decided a long time ago that I needed to make a decision in life to become someone my family would look up to. So after many years of working in odd jobs mainly Mexico Maquiladores, I realized that the only way I would be successful was to go to college. At the age of 35 years old, I started my college educational journey and have never looked back.
In 2006, I received my Bachelors in Applied Technology (BATS) and I became an Academic Advisor for the School of Education at UTB/TSC. What an honor to work for the University that has guided my future and gave me a better life than I had ever hoped for. In 2008 I finished the ACP program and started working at James Pace High School as a Technology Teacher and continued my studies towards my Master in Educational Technology with the MTT certification block. I look forward to studying hard and learning from my professors and my classmates while I complete the final chapter of my educational goal.
